How we match you to the right IOR / clearance partner
Import clearance isn’t one-size-fits-all. We only route your request to providers that fit your exact lane.
- Geographic coverage: destination country (and sometimes specific ports/airports) must be supported.
- Service type fit: Importer of Record (IOR) vs customs brokerage vs both — not every firm can take IOR liability.
- Shipment mode: courier vs air freight vs ocean freight (capabilities and pricing differ).
- Commodity lane: electronics, cosmetics, supplements, chemicals, medical devices, etc. (some providers exclude certain categories).
- Urgency & capacity: “held at customs” cases require providers with fast-response capacity.
- Documentation readiness: invoice/packing list/hold notice availability affects speed and quote certainty.
- Value & frequency: one-time rescue vs recurring imports (some providers have minimums or better pricing for repeat lanes).
- Risk & compliance exposure: some lanes require extra steps (e.g., special declarations, inspections, or importer registrations).
Trust: We share your request only with matched providers—no public posting, no spam.

FAQ
Why should I use Cruxi?
Speed + fit. Import clearance depends on destination, Incoterms, mode, commodity, and urgency. We use your answers to route to the right lane and minimize back-and-forth. Your request is shared only with providers we contact.
What is an Importer of Record (IOR)?
In general, the Importer of Record is the party responsible for making entry and ensuring compliance with import laws and regulations. Requirements vary by country and commodity.
Can you help if the shipment is held at customs?
Yes — select “Held at customs” and include any hold notice or carrier details so providers can triage quickly.
Do I need an IOR, or just a customs broker?
It depends on the destination and your structure. Some shipments only need a broker and corrected documentation; others require an IOR (especially if there’s no local entity). If you’re not sure, select “Not sure” — we’ll route accordingly.
Do you list providers on this page?
No. We route your request to matched providers based on destination, commodity, and urgency.
What affects pricing?
Destination country, Incoterms, commodity, shipment value, and urgency. Providers may also require local registrations (e.g., VAT/EORI) or bonds depending on the destination.
I got 2–3 quotes and the prices vary — what should I do?
Compare like-for-like. Ask each provider to confirm what’s included (IOR liability vs broker-only, disbursements/advancement fees, bonds/VAT/EORI needs, timelines/SLAs, and assumptions). Price differences are often driven by scope, risk exposure, and how “complete” the documents are.
What documents help you get faster, more accurate quotes?
Commercial invoice + packing list (and any hold notice if you’re stuck). If you have an HS code, include it — but it’s OK if you don’t; providers can help classify.
Do you support DDP setup?
Yes. Select “DDP setup” and include the destination, Incoterms, and who is expected to be the importer. DDP often changes who carries liability and how duties/taxes are handled.
Commercial shipments only?
Yes — we route commercial shipments only. If you’re importing a personal parcel, we can’t route it to providers.
How fast will I hear back?
It varies by lane and documentation readiness. Urgent rescue cases can be triaged faster, while some destinations/commodities require extra steps before a firm quote.
