GDPR Article 27 Representative List: The Reality
There is no official EU or UK list of GDPR Article 27 representatives. Learn what Article 27 requires and compare verified providers from Cruxi's vetted directory.
Important: There Is No Official GDPR Article 27 Representative List
Neither the EU nor the UK maintains a public directory, registry, or list of Article 27 representatives. Under GDPR Article 27, non-EU/UK controllers and processors must designate a representative in writing when they offer goods or services to data subjects in the Union or monitor their behavior. Supervisory authorities do not publish, certify, or endorse any list of representatives.
Why There Is No Official List
GDPR Article 27 requires designation in writing, but:
- Data protection authorities do not maintain a public registry of Article 27 representatives
- There is no accreditation or certification program for representatives
- Representatives are not registered with any central body
- No government-endorsed directory exists
The representative must be established in the EU (or UK for UK GDPR) where affected data subjects are located. The role is a contractual designation—not a licensed or certified profession.
Cruxi Vetted Article 27 Representative Providers
While there is no official list, Cruxi maintains a directory of verified GDPR Article 27 representative providers. These providers have been vetted for EU/UK establishment, experience with Article 27 mandates, DPA drafting, and liaising with supervisory authorities.
Important: These providers are not "official" or "approved" by any authority—they are verified service providers. Always do your own due diligence before selecting a representative.
